My Story
Hi, I'm Elgun Mehdiyev, an aspiring frontend developer based in Canada. My journey into the world of coding began over a year ago, driven by a curiosity about how websites function and a desire to create visually appealing and responsive web applications.
Before diving into the tech world, I had an extensive career as a diplomat in my home country, Azerbaijan, and served at Azerbaijan's diplomatic mission in Los Angeles, USA. This experience honed my skills in problem-solving, communication and adaptability, which have been incredibly valuable in my transition to tech.
Over the past year, I have dedicated myself to mastering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React and Next.js. My enthusiasm for learning led me to expand my toolkit to include essential technologies like TypeScript and Tailwind CSS.
What excites me most about coding is the process of transforming ideas into interactive digital experiences. I am passionate about solving problems and creating something meaningful from scratch. My dedication to self-study has been persistent. I have consistently committed to learning and improving my skills every day.
While my focus has been on mastering web development over the past year, I also enjoy reading classic literature and history. These interests provide a balance to my tech pursuits, offering new perspectives and a deeper understanding of different cultures and eras. This blend of technical and literary interests helps me stay creative and inspired in my work.
My journey from diplomacy to frontend development has been unique and challenging, but it has also been incredibly rewarding. I look forward to continuing to grow as a developer and to contribute to the tech community with my projects and skills.
